Sales manager

Job Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve sales targets and business objectives. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The Sales Manager will work closely with the marketing, production, and project management teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
    • Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
    • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Oversee the sales process, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Address client concerns and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets.
    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and projects.
    • Participate in networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote the company and generate leads.
  • Sales Operations
    • Manage the sales pipeline and CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
    • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute promotional campaigns and materials.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with the production, design, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align sales efforts with company goals.
    • Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams based on client needs and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in a similar role, preferably within the joinery, woodworking, or decorative arts industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems, such as [specific software].
