By combining Craft disciplines in our art studios and cabinetry workshops, we approach the interior design industry with an aesthetic vision, striving to invest projects with innovation and beauty.
Our studio practice encapsulates a broad knowledge of international decorative arts; we design and make cabinetry, wallpaper, and glass products. Specialist on-site installation and decoration teams operate around the world. This is a team of Artists, all passionate to express their creativity through their craft.

Our Story and History
MB and MC met as teenagers, collaborating as fine artists in West Wales. They followed arts and business educations taking them to London where they worked for leading interior designers whilst still in university. Acknowledging the untapped potential in the application of artistic decorative finishing in the high-end residential construction industry they set up pioneering decorative arts companies in 2005 in London and Melbourne.
We have been building our team of artists and specialist makers for over 25 years. Working at the forefront of Product and Process design, we have built an unique company, that thrives on the combined creativity of our workforce.
MBMC Studios are continually exploring and widening the scope of our diverse studio offering – from origins in specialist decoration and furniture manufacture to our present position incorporating multiple studios, encompassing specialisms including bespoke flooring, mosaic, product design and robotic fabrication.
The Decorative Arts have been our driving passion for 30 years – our collegiate team of artists and craftspeople our greatest achievement.
Mathew, Matthew & the Team
Mathew Bray
Mathew studied Fine Art and Art History at Goldsmiths before setting up his first decorative arts company in 2005.
MB spent 10 years developing specialist decorative finishes for the Interior Design Industry in paint, plaster, gesso, glass and timber informing many of the processes still used in the studios today.
A passion for furniture design and hand-made fabrication led to the formation of our Design Studio in 2012 combining the knowledge of craft with high-tech production process – this remains a driving fascination.
MB has an effusive creative capacity matched with organisational rigor.
Matthew Collins
MC is the Creative Director of MBMC Studios. He leads the London decorative arts studios and site decoration practices, bringing an artist’s eye for colour, composition, and patina to every project.
Renowned as a sophisticated tastemaker and consultant, he collaborates with interior designers, architects, and private clients globally.
His journey began with artistic pursuits in his youth, followed by a degree in languages and international business. Going on, to set up a decorative arts and wallpaper business in Melbourne, Australia before returning to the UK to refine his skills on some of the most prestigious domestic and international projects.
The Team
Our Team consists of over 50 in-house Draftsmen, Project Managers, Artists, Craftspeople and support workers, as well as a network of subcontracted specialists. The range of creative expertise is second to none with experience shared in a complete range of Decorative Arts applicable to the requirements of the International Interior Design Industry.
