Specialising in the design and implementation of complex building projects, MBMC Studios blend Interior Architectural Design with an expert capacity for in-house manufacturing and decoration.
By combining Craft disciplines in our art studios and cabinetry workshops, we approach the interior design industry with an aesthetic vision, striving to invest projects with innovation and beauty.
Our studio practice encapsulates a broad knowledge of international decorative arts; we design and make cabinetry, wallpaper, and glass products. Specialist on-site installation and decoration teams operate around the world. This is a team of Artists, all passionate about expressing their creativity through their craft.
Respected for unique surface finishing and colour making, Mathew and Matthew craft interiors with both soul and sophistication.
MBMC Studios brings designers, makers and craftspeople together under one roof. Our departments can be engaged on their own or together, and all work to the same standards of precision, creative ambition and careful delivery.
Because every discipline is in-house, we can coordinate the work closely. Decisions are made in one place, the details carry through from one craft to the next, and the finished interior reads as a whole.
Around the making, we offer a complete service, from design and project management to installation and aftercare.
MB and MC met as teenage artists in West Wales, and went on to study art and business in London, working for leading interior designers while still at university. Seeing untapped potential for artistic decorative finishing in high-end residential construction, they founded pioneering decorative arts companies in London and Melbourne in 2005.
Over the two decades since, we’ve built a team of artists and specialist makers working at the forefront of product and process design. MBMC Studios continues to widen its scope: from our origins in specialist decoration and furniture-making to a present that spans bespoke flooring, mosaic, product design, and robotic fabrication.
The decorative arts have been our driving passion for over twenty years, our collegiate team of artists and craftspeople remains our greatest achievement.

A passion for furniture design and hand-made fabrication led to the formation of our Design Studio in 2012 combining the knowledge of craft with high-tech production process – this remains a driving fascination.
